ABOUT

Lisa Lerner is founder and principal of Bennett Lerner Interiors, a full-service interior design firm specializing in high-end residential projects in Los Angeles, California, and beyond.

Color isn’t a four-letter word for Lisa, who cites her creative use of hues—as well as an affinity for small but indispensable accents, including artwork and accessories—as being pivotal to her craft. Her signature? “Color! Every designer brings their own style to a project, and I bring a strong sense of color, layered textures and patterns. I also stress to my clients the importance of quality art and accessories. I like to refer to them as the diamond earrings of the outfit. You can have a fabulous outfit, but the accessories and art are what gives it the unique style and personality all its own. I want pieces that are one of kind that only you will own. The space must feel completely custom to you!”

A Washington, D.C. native, Lisa earned her undergraduate degree from DePaul University before attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studied fashion Buying and Merchandising. She then launched a fashion career, which continues to creatively inform her work, at Ralph Lauren, where she helped debut the Polo Jeans Company globally, before moving on to study Interior Design at UCLA. Having built a solid foundation during her roles at both D Crosby Ross Interior Design in West Hollywood, and at Keith Granet & Associates, an interior design branding and product development firm, she branched out on her own in 2008, founding Bennett Lerner Interiors.

Her work, which is grounded in a love for all things design, allows Lisa to imbue her signature love of color, a commitment to her clients, and a passion for the craft into each of her projects.
